8:1 [hgb]  于 是 各 人 都 回 家 去 了 。 耶 稣 却 往 橄 榄 山 去 。
    [kjv]  Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
    [bbe]  But Jesus went to the Mountain of Olives.
8:2 [hgb]  清 早 又 回 到 殿 里 。 众 百 姓 都 到 他 那 里 去 ， 他 就 坐 下 教 训 他 们 。
    [kjv]  And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
    [bbe]  And early in the morning he came again into the Temple and all the people came to him and he was seated teaching them.
8:3 [hgb]  文 士 和 法 利 赛 人 ， 带 着 一 个 行 淫 时 被 拿 的 妇 人 来 ， 叫 他 站 在 当 中 。
    [kjv]  And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
    [bbe]  Now the scribes and Pharisees came, with a woman who had been taken in the act of sinning against the married relation;
8:4 [hgb]  就 对 耶 稣 说 ， 夫 子 ， 这 妇 人 是 正 行 淫 之 时 被 拿 的 。
    [kjv]  They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
    [bbe]  And putting her forward, they said to him, Master, this woman has been taken in the very act of sinning against the married relation.
8:5 [hgb]  摩 西 在 律 法 上 吩 咐 我 们 ， 把 这 样 的 妇 人 用 石 头 打 死 。 你 说 该 把 她 怎 么 样 呢 ？
    [kjv]  Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
    [bbe]  Now in the law Moses gave directions that such women were to be stoned; what do you say about it?
8:6 [hgb]  他 们 说 这 话 ， 乃 试 探 耶 稣 ， 要 得 着 告 他 的 把 柄 。 耶 稣 却 弯 着 腰 用 指 头 在 地 上 画 字 。
    [kjv]  This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
    [bbe]  They said this, testing him, so that they might have something against him. But Jesus, with his head bent down, made letters on the floor with his finger.
8:7 [hgb]  他 们 还 是 不 住 地 问 他 ， 耶 稣 就 直 起 腰 来 ， 对 他 们 说 ， 你 们 中 间 谁 是 没 有 罪 的 ， 谁 就 可 以 先 拿 石 头 打 她 。
    [kjv]  So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
    [bbe]  But when they went on with their questions, he got up and said to them, Let him among you who is without sin be the first to send a stone at her.
8:8 [hgb]  于 是 又 弯 着 腰 用 指 头 在 地 上 画 字 。
    [kjv]  And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
    [bbe]  And again, with bent head, he made letters on the floor.
8:9 [hgb]  他 们 听 见 这 话 ， 就 从 老 到 少 一 个 一 个 地 都 出 去 了 。 只 剩 下 耶 稣 一 人 。 还 有 那 妇 人 仍 然 站 在 当 中 。
    [kjv]  And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
    [bbe]  And when his words came to their ears, they went out one by one, starting with the oldest even to the last, because they were conscious of what was in their hearts: and Jesus was there by himself with the woman before him.
8:10 [hgb]  耶 稣 就 直 起 腰 来 ， 对 她 说 ， 妇 人 ， 那 些 人 在 哪 里 呢 ？ 没 有 人 定 你 的 罪 吗 ？
    [kjv]  When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
    [bbe]  Then Jesus got up, and seeing nobody but the woman, he said to her, Where are the men who said things against you? did no one give a decision against you?
8:11 [hgb]  她 说 ， 主 阿 ， 没 有 。 耶 稣 说 ， 我 也 不 定 你 的 罪 。 去 吧 。 从 此 不 要 再 犯 罪 了 。
    [kjv]  She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
    [bbe]  And she said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said, And I do not give a decision against you: go, and never do wrong again.]
8:12 [hgb]  耶 稣 又 对 众 人 说 ， 我 是 世 界 的 光 。 跟 从 我 的 ， 就 不 在 黑 暗 里 走 ， 必 要 得 着 生 命 的 光 。
    [kjv]  Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
    [bbe]  Then again Jesus said to them, I am the light of the world; he who comes with me will not be walking in the dark but will have the light of life.
8:13 [hgb]  法 利 赛 人 对 他 说 ， 你 是 为 自 己 作 见 证 。 你 的 见 证 不 真 。
    [kjv]  The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
    [bbe]  So the Pharisees said to him, The witness you give is about yourself: your witness is not true.
8:14 [hgb]  耶 稣 说 ， 我 虽 然 为 自 己 作 见 证 ， 我 的 见 证 还 是 真 的 。 因 我 知 道 我 从 哪 里 来 ， 往 哪 里 去 。 你 们 却 不 知 道 我 从 哪 里 来 ， 往 哪 里 去 。
    [kjv]  Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
    [bbe]  Jesus said in answer, Even if I give witness about myself, my witness is true, because I have knowledge of where I came from and where I am going; but you have no knowledge of where I come from or of where I am going.
8:15 [hgb]  你 们 是 以 外 貌 （ 原 文 作 凭 肉 身 ） 判 断 人 。 我 却 不 判 断 人 。
    [kjv]  Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
    [bbe]  You are judging from what you see; I am judging no man.
8:16 [hgb]  就 是 判 断 人 ， 我 的 判 断 也 是 真 的 。 因 为 不 是 我 独 自 在 这 里 ， 还 有 差 我 来 的 父 与 我 同 在 。
    [kjv]  And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
    [bbe]  Even if I am judging, my decision is right, because I am not by myself--with me is the Father who sent me.
8:17 [hgb]  你 们 的 律 法 上 也 记 着 说 ， 两 个 人 的 见 证 是 真 的 。
    [kjv]  It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
    [bbe]  Even in your law it is said that the witness of two men is true.
8:18 [hgb]  我 是 为 自 己 作 见 证 ， 还 有 差 我 来 的 父 ， 也 是 为 我 作 见 证 。
    [kjv]  I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
    [bbe]  I give witness about myself and the Father who sent me gives witness about me.
8:19 [hgb]  他 们 就 问 他 说 ， 你 的 父 在 哪 里 ？ 耶 稣 回 答 说 ， 你 们 不 认 识 我 ， 也 不 认 识 我 的 父 。 若 是 认 识 我 ， 也 就 认 识 我 的 父 。
    [kjv]  Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.
    [bbe]  Then they said to him, Where is your Father? Jesus said in answer, You have no knowledge of me or of my Father: if you had knowledge of me you would have knowledge of my Father.
8:20 [hgb]  这 些 话 是 耶 稣 在 殿 里 的 库 房 ， 教 训 人 时 所 说 的 。 也 没 有 人 拿 他 。 因 为 他 的 时 候 还 没 有 到 。
    [kjv]  These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
    [bbe]  Jesus said these words in the place where the offerings were stored, while he was teaching in the Temple: but no man took him because his time was still to come.
8:21 [hgb]  耶 稣 又 对 他 们 说 ， 我 要 去 了 ， 你 们 要 找 我 ， 并 且 你 们 要 死 在 罪 中 。 我 所 去 的 地 方 ， 你 们 不 能 到 。
    [kjv]  Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
    [bbe]  Then he said to them again, I am going away and you will be looking for me, but death will overtake you in your sins. It is not possible for you to come where I am going.
8:22 [hgb]  犹 太 人 说 ， 他 说 我 所 去 的 地 方 ， 你 们 不 能 到 ， 难 道 他 要 自 尽 吗 ？
    [kjv]  Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.
    [bbe]  So the Jews said, Will he take his life? Is that why he says, Where I go it is not possible for you to come?
8:23 [hgb]  耶 稣 对 他 们 说 ， 你 们 是 从 下 头 来 的 ， 我 是 从 上 头 来 的 。 你 们 是 属 这 世 界 的 ， 我 不 是 属 这 世 界 的 。
    [kjv]  And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
    [bbe]  And he said to them, You are of the earth; I am from heaven: you are of this world; I am not of this world.
8:24 [hgb]  所 以 我 对 你 们 说 ， 你 们 要 死 在 罪 中 ， 你 们 若 不 信 我 是 基 督 ， 必 要 死 在 罪 中 。
    [kjv]  I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
    [bbe]  For this reason I said to you that death will overtake you in your sins: for if you have not faith that I am he, death will come to you while you are in your sins.
8:25 [hgb]  他 们 就 问 他 说 ， 你 是 谁 ？ 耶 稣 对 他 们 说 ， 就 是 我 从 起 初 所 告 诉 你 们 的 。
    [kjv]  Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
    [bbe]  Then they said to him, Who are you? Jesus said, What I said to you from the first.
8:26 [hgb]  我 有 许 多 事 讲 论 你 们 ， 判 断 你 们 ， 但 那 差 我 来 的 是 真 的 。 我 在 他 那 里 所 听 见 的 ， 我 就 传 给 世 人 。
    [kjv]  I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
    [bbe]  I have much to say about you and against you: but he who sent me is true and what he has said to me I say to the world.
8:27 [hgb]  他 们 不 明 白 耶 稣 是 指 着 父 说 的 。
    [kjv]  They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
    [bbe]  They did not see that his words were about the Father.
8:28 [hgb]  所 以 耶 稣 说 ， 你 们 举 起 人 子 以 后 ， 必 知 道 我 是 基 督 ， 并 且 知 道 我 没 有 一 件 事 ， 是 凭 着 自 己 作 的 。 我 说 这 些 话 ， 乃 是 照 着 父 所 教 训 我 的 。
    [kjv]  Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
    [bbe]  So Jesus said, When the Son of man has been lifted up by you, then it will be clear to you who I am, and that I do nothing of myself, but say as the Father gave me teaching.
8:29 [hgb]  那 差 我 来 的 ， 是 与 我 同 在 。 他 没 有 撇 下 我 独 自 在 这 里 ， 因 为 我 常 作 他 所 喜 悦 的 事 。
    [kjv]  And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
    [bbe]  He who sent me is with me; he has not gone from me, because at all times I do the............
